Education Outreach Chair, Gary Kauffman
Gary, wife Chloe, and daughter Morgan [now a proud Western Washington University student] live tucked away in a quiet and secluded corner of  Olympia with part of Capitol State Forest as a boundary. In his professional life, Gary works as the Assistant Director of Emergency Services for the local Community Action Council assisting low income families find resources to alleviate the burdens of poverty. Being married to a newly elected board member made it a tradition to increase his involvement with LOWS, so he has accepted the non board position of education and outreach coordinator. As with many llama owners, some  of the 19 llamas that have become a part of his life have come from  rescue situations.
